Synopsis: Five maids in Brazil's largest city, Sao Paulo, are observed in this episodic, impressionistic film. DOMESTICAS (Maids) is a funny, yet loving look at the daily lives of this group of Brazilian housemaids: their dreams, sorrows and joys. The movie was based on a stage play and directed by Fernando Meirelles ('City of God', 'The Constant Gardener', 'Blindness') and Nando Olival. It is witty and light-hearted, enough to make you feel good for one and a half hours.
