We are opposite the Manly Wharf on the East Esplanade. When you exit the Manly Ferries, turn RIGHT after the pedestrian crossing at the head of The Corso or… exiting the beach, turn left at the junction of The Corso and East Esplanade - we’re about 5 doors down on your left. Look for the big CINEMAS sign out front next to “Out Of Africa” restaurant.

Once session times are listed on our website, tickets can be be purchased from the box office in advance of the film's opening. We recommend for the most popular films, during the weekends and holidays, that you plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the advertised start time or drop in during the day and purchase early.

Tickets are sold and patrons seated on a “first-in, best dressed” basis. We recommend you arrive 10-15 minutes before start time so you can select your favourite seat. We do not have allocated seating.

Purchasing tickets in advance guarantees you a seat for each ticket purchased, however, we do not reserve specific seats in any row. Highly popular films will generate longer lines as shows sell out quickly. Large groups need to arrive early if sitting together is important. The distributor of a film will stipulate NO FREE TICKETS on selected films for a set duration. This restriction will not apply to the entire season of a film - usually only weeks 1 and 2. What does SPECIAL EVENT mean?
SPECIAL EVENTS are alternative content, rather than filmed entertainment (ie. Live Sports, Concerts, Documentaries, Opera, Festivals etc) and will usually only screen a limited number of times. Each SPECIAL EVENT will be advertised as such. Special admission prices and conditions apply: No Free List, No Concessions, No Offers or Promotions etc).

Dolby technologies put you in the center of your movie-going experience. You will hear five full-range discreet channels, plus a subwoofer channel that coves the bottom one-tenth of the audible range - these are the technologies that create the experience. The dynamic range (the ratio of the loudest sounds to the softest) is significant and the full-range surround channels make lifelike special effects possible-think helicopters flying overhead. And the subwoofer sound can often be felt as well as heard.

The length of time any film will play at Manly Cinemas is based on the amount of business the film generates, contractual obligations and time of the year. Basically, the more popular a film is with patrons, the longer it will play. There is no way to predict exactly how long a movie will play. Use our website to get information on what films will be playing up to five days in advance.

Our programming policy is to present a mix of chick-flicks, quality arthouse and selected mainstream movies suitable for discerning adult audiences. It is not possible for us to play every film released because we do not have enough screens and besides, more youthful & children's titles are better suited to the multiplex.

In most cases the problem occurs when you are running the new Internet Explorer version 6. You will need to allow "Cookies" in your security settings. These settings are accessible under "Tools", "Internet Options".
Because our "Manly Cinemas" personalization is cookie based and you have it blocked, your home page will not be personalized.
There are three options you can use to change the cookie settings, but it's strictly a personal decision.
1- Change the setting to allow cookies in the advanced features of your privacy settings
2- Ask to be prompted for first party cookies. This could be a secure way of deciding who can and cannot have access, but then again you would be prompted each and every time.
3- You can choose to allow cookies for specific sites. This seems to be the best option. The setting is available in the Privacy settings at the bottom. Its header is "Web Sites" and there is a button labeled "Edit". Click this and follow the instructions to allow cookies for the sites you choose to allow access.
Now you can log on to "Manly Cinemas" then open your email and click on the coupon link.
